A great start to the Foundations campaign to fight the Cowardly Monster

Hi there Everyone,

It's been a week in which we have started a couple new things. We started the Hannah's Heroes Foundation annual FUNdraiser, and I've started a new role at the company I work for.

The FUNdraiser we had last week is the first in what we hope will be many similar events each year. We have a plan to do a big event each spring and then something smaller in the fall. Also we're going to be active in the Relay for Life, the Jog for a Jug/Mug events locally in Tsawwassen. The event this past weekend far exceeded out expectations and we're very happy to say that we raised almost $25,000! That is an incredible amount for a single evening. I would not have thought it possible but I'm so proud of all the people that helped organize and run the fundraiser. And it would not have been possible without the generous support of the many businesses and individuals that donated items to our silent auction and also everyone that came and bid with their hearts.  I want to Thank Lisa for putting together a short video of the event. It's posted on Youtube right here. For those with Facebook, it's also posted on my page.

In regards to the new role I have at my company... I'm the first person in a team that will be developing training material, user guides and helping our customers with deploying and learning our software after they've purchased it. It's a big change from the job I've been doing which is technical support for those same customers. It's going to involve a fair bit of travel, mostly across North America but possibly overseas as well. What I'm hoping for with that is the chance to meet some of the wonderful people that I've come to know over the last couple of years. So Rich McGowan, if I find myself in in Boston, I'm going to look you up. I've I'm down in Alabama, I'll be giving Jim and Diana a call.

Kathie continues to do well after her surgery. She's seen the doctors this week and they are all pleased with her progress. There is a possibility that Kathie might need to have some more chemotherapy. It's fairly standard in cases like Kathies but because of the leukemia and her bone marrow transplant, they're not sure if she will be able to tolerate it. But we'll find out, the Doctors are going to figure that out. This would be only precautionary and preventative in nature in any case. As of now, Kathie is cancer free!

It's Friday tomorrow and I'm looking forward to the weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lots of Love

Tore, Kathie, Allie and Beautiful Angel Hannah
