Hey everyone,

It's been another bad week for DIPG kids. I haven't written much about this the last few months because I would be writing about another child just about everyday. And that just get to sad to do. However, this week is a little different. In the last week, we lost four kids, Skylar Smith, Mara Adams, Lauren Mackenzie Bells and Brynne Acres. While we didn't 'know' Skylar, Lauren, or Mara, but Brynne lived in Coquitlam and we had met the whole family a few times and we've talked on the phone a few times as well. Brynne was diagnosed a couple of months before Hannah but her tumor was fairly stable until earlier this year.

Please spare a few minutes and think about these kids and their families. We know all to well what they are going through.

Kathie is still up at VGH and will be there a few days more. The infection is more or less under control. but they are keeping her for a few extra days to be sure. Her blood numbers are also a little low so they are giving her blood as well.

That's about all to report for now. I'm going to make some BBQ Salmon to take up to her for tonight and I'm hoping there will be some hockey or a good movie we can watch.
