One Month

Well, it's been one 'calendar' month since Kathie passed away and I still have trouble with so many things. It doesn't take much to put me in the frame of mind that make me sad. It might be as simple as some song lyrics while listening to my iPod or a TV commercial for Disneyland. I never know what it's going to be or when. And sometimes it'll catch me totally off guard even when I'm feeling pretty good and having a decent day.

I hear a lot of people griping about the weather. How it's cold, rainy and the don't like the prospect of snow. The weather doesn't matter so much to me, and I'm looking forward to some snow. Winter is one of my favorite times of the year and Autumn was a close second. Not so much anymore. The fall won't hold the same appeal to me for a while. I like the blustery days and falling leaves and chill in the air. But now the fall will have different meaning, at least for a while. Spring will be my second favorite season for now. Allie and I share April for birthday's and the spring will bring some sense of renewal I suppose.

On a lighter note, we are getting our Christmas cards ready again this year. We hope to have them ready by the end of next week. We will be down at Granville Island on Nov 28, 29, and 30 selling the cards in the market. So please come on down to get some. If you can't make it, please let us know and we'll try to get some set aside for you. If you live outside the Vancouver area, we can send cards to you, please contact me if you're interested at torehatlen @ hannahsheroes.com.

Lots of Love

Tore, Allie, Beautiful Angels Kathie and Hannah

    Hi Tore,
I was just going to e-mail you about the cards. I am so happy that they will be ready next week. The little artists and I had quite a chat about how their yearly artwork is so important. We talked about Hannah and how very sad that her Mom had passed away also. I got a lot of feedback from both the kids and their parents that they value this project and very much want to continue every year. Next year I will do it at my house as we have moved and our boys will be going to English Bluff next year. All the parents of the artists will want cards as will many families at Beach Grove School. Do you want to give me a whole bunch. I am happy to organize the selling of the cards through the school. Let me know. Please know also that I am so sorry about Kathie. Hang in there,
    Gillian Lock
