A Big White Blanket
That's what Allie called it as we drove home tonight for Deb and Glen's Annual Christmas in Schulerville party. The snow has started and it was indeed like a white blanket outside. The Snow started about 6:30pm and it's been going pretty well for the last 5 hours. There is about an inch or so on the ground and I'm hoping it doesn't stop until there is a lot more. I know that Hannah and Kathie have both had something to do with this snowfall. They were supposed to get it going last night but I suspect that there was some kind of mix-up and the snow fell elsewhere instead.
Thank you Hannah and Kathie for the snow.
It's been close to two months now and I'm still struggling with many different things. I've noticed that Allie seems a little different as well. I guess it might just be starting to fully process for her. She does talk about Kathie and Hannah. She's had a couple of meltdowns, but then haven't we all. I've had a couple of really great conversations with some people that have made me feel better. The Season is getting me down a little because both Kathie and Hannah really enjoyed Christmas. Last weekend we got out tree up, got the lights on the house and generally got the place ready for the holidays. I don't feel especially like celebrating but I'll muddle through somehow. Allie will be my guide for the next few weeks. She's very excited about Christmas. She's been to see Santa a couple of times already and might even get in another visit. She was a little shy at first but warmed up quickly when he handed her a candy cane. She's made her list and is proudly telling everyone what she wants. She's asked for a pink accordion. Yes, you read that right. I don't know how she came up with that but Dorothy is going to move heaven and earth to get one. Second item, was a light bulb. Again, I have no idea about that.
The Christmas cards have been selling very well and we're nearing sold out status. We've had lots of help getting them out and I want to thank our entire board of directors for helping out. And I wanted to thank Adrian from down the street. He's a little boy a couple years older then Allie and instead of getting presents for is birthday recently, asked for kids to donate to Hannah's Heroes. Along those lines, a late thank you to Krista, Lauren and Brianna who did the same.
Well, i'm going to watch a little snow fall.
Lots of Love,
Tore, Allie and Beautiful Angels Kathie and Hannah
